The map is a road and trail map showing places in Inyo and Mono Counties. A beautiful abridged edition of The Land of Little Rain featuring printed photos by Ansel Adams alongside Mary Austin's text. Mary Austin (1868-1934) was an American author. She was a prolific writer and wrote novels, plays, and poetry. Austin was also a feminist and an advocate for Indigenous and Spanish-American rights. She is perhaps best-known for her nature writings about the American Southwest.
