This beautiful monograph is about the arts and culture of the Indian city, Lucknow, during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The book's numerous illustrations show a variety of artworks from Lucknow including "oil paintings, album paintings, illustrated historical and religious manuscripts, textiles and garments, photographs, and decorative art objects such as ornate metalwork, glassware, and jewelry."
