The Kaufmann House is perhaps his most famous work. He designed this house for Edgar J. Kaufmann, Sr. and his wife. In this auction, the Kaufmann House sold for $15 million, but the sale fell through after the bidder breached the terms of contract. The house was listed again in October 2008 for $12.5 million but it did not sell. As of October 2020, the Kaufmann House was still listed for sale at $25 million.
